The research process involved analysing youth unemployment trends, conducting interviews with four students, and gathering insights from three career professionals. I also carried out competitor analysis, which revealed issues with filtering, salary transparency, and a lack of student-focused features. Additionally, I created user personas and a Value Proposition Canvas to refine key features and ensure the app aligned with user needs and goals.
The design process began with low-fidelity wireframes to map out key user journeys based on research insights. I created multiple prototypes, refining the design and visual style through mood boards and experimentation with colours and typefaces. User testing was conducted on the final prototype to improve usability and ensure the interface met user needs. Key features of Launch include personalised job recommendations, advanced filtering for internships and visa-sponsored roles, a social area for connecting with peers, and built-in career resources like CV-building tools and interview guidance.
